About this Recipe
Juicy pulled pork! Great for cookouts, gatherings or a weeknight family meal.
- 1 pack of Heartland bread rolls
- 1 large onion
- 3 – 3 ½ lb chuck or bottom round roast beef
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- ½ cup BBQ sauce of your choice
- ½ cup steak sauce
- 2 tablespoons worcester sauce
- Preferred garlic amount
- 1 ½ cult of chicken stock
- Optional toppings: red onion, coleslaw, dill pickles, carrot sticks, cheese
Step 1
Combine dry rub and oil in a small bowl and whisk together.
Step 2
Pour mixture over the beef and rub until fully and evenly covered.
Step 3
Place onion, garlic cloves, and stock into bowl and top with pork shoulder pieces.
Step 4
Set slow-cooker to slow cook on low heat and lock on the lid.
Step 5
Slow cook pork for 8 hours.
Step 6
Remove pork from slow-cooker and transfer to a large baking dish. Shred pork with two forks, removing any large chunks of fat and gristle.
Step 7
Sprinkle salt and other dry ingredients over pork and mix together.
Step 8
Pour 1 cup bbq sauce over shredded pork and stir together until evenly combined.
Step 9
Add the shredded pork to a Heartland Bread bun and finish with extra BBQ sauce and coleslaw
